The Training of Songcord just started this year. As a breeding mare, she gave birth to wonderful foals but now it's her turn.
The Olympics 2024 are waiting and there is lots to do for Soren to get her ready for, back in form!
Soren has been taking care of Songcord since she was born, but 7 years pass by quickly. She was ridden before her foals, and trained for
show jumping and cross country, but more as a freetime hobby.
Songcord, or "Kiri Kiri" is a lovely mare with a soft character. She is learning new tasks fast and is always motivated to work on new things.

Her jumping potential is on the high lane together with her great endurance
when it comes to cross country. Water is no problem, even fire doesn't scare her at all.

Now that her winter coat is gone, Soren decided that now is the great time to get her started on higher-level obstacles and courses.
Over the winter he worked on her endurance and overall strength before attending higher jumps like 1.40-1.55m.
The weather is so nice outside, warm 19°C for the first time of the year. Kiri was still munching on some fresh hay when she saw Soren walking towards her with her
colorful training tack. Soren loves colors, abstract art, and everything that's looking special. While
most other horses at the Stud Center are ridden in the team colors, he loves to bring some fresh colors into the pallet of the stable.
Kiri's lilac coat matches perfectly with almost every pastel color, and icy color tones.

While Soren was grooming Kiri, she nearly fell asleep with her eyes closed and one hoof resting. Chilling in the warm sun and just enjoying being
a horse for a moment. When he started tacking her up, she started to get a little excited, ears always looking forward, heads up, and waiting to finally get started.
One last sugar cube before Soren finally got on her back and started a short 20 walking around the stables to get her warmed up.
Passing by the meadows, you finally see some green leaves and colorful flowers peaking out of the winter. The grass is growing
and the air just smells like the summer is coming.

The Training was going well, Soren chose the Outdoor arena, since the weather was nearly as perfect as it could get for this time of the year.
He put up Obstacles at different heights and also some barrs just lying on the ground to wake her feet up.
Creative training always helps to get the horses focused on the rider and obstacles. Even tho Soren never has any problems with Songcord being focused on him,

it's also great for her overall training. Songcord or Kiri, really had a lot of fun and couldn't hold herself back from some bucking after every higher jump she passed.

And that's fine, also horses are allowed to be a little goofy sometimes. Soren was smiling at his lilac horses, totally happy at the end about how amazing she worked together with him.

At the end, he jumped off and took her saddle and Bridle off to let her roll in the soft sand of the arena. What a great way to end the training.
