Reminds me of Mariah Carey, in her younger days.

Cool leaving the hair stroke of the brush in there.

well isn't that like anything, for a 3D user to get a comment then it turns out to be spam.

anyhow, interesting filter. she comes across as a keira knightley inspired character.

Hahaha. Yeah, I saw that this morning and thought " Ah, nice comment - what the?"

Now I'm not against self promotion, but that's just taking it a little too far.

Actually it's not a filter, I just used the normal and cartoon render engines in DS3 and composited them together to get the final look.

Still not sure about that wall in the background tho.

spam, spam, spamity spam... i don't like spam.

well that was an interesting style of composite rendering. i wouldn't worry about the background the character fills so much scene space as to minimize the background importance.

lol, no none of us do I think - so much so that dA have closed down the offending account.

Thanks mmate, it's a style I picked up a while back that noramlly gets used with individual lights beinng rendered out and composited but it works well with full blown renders as well. Yeah, good point, the background may have an effect on the render I intend to do which uses this character though. Guess we'll find out when I do it hey.

i am starting to see an alarming number of deviation posts that have comments from accounts that are deactivated the same day the comments are made. i wonder if these are ppl looking to "steal" the art then leave?

just another technique to draw on in your 3d output arsenal, always good to have options.

Yeah, it seems to go in waves, there will be a whole slew of them and they'll dry up before coming back again a few months later.

My thoughts exactly. It's always good to have another technique to use, gives you more options than being stuck with just one process.
