I am doing the covers (again) for a new DC title called The Great Ten. It is a 10 issues mini-series.
"At the dawn of the Chinese Century, the 10 official “super-functionaries” of the People’s Republic face their greatest challenge as the gods of Ancient China return to destroy communist rule. Will the most populous nation on Earth drag the rest of the world down with it? Do its heroes even want to save a government that treats them like pawns?"
The series will be written by Tony Bedard with art by Scott McDaniel and covers by Stanley Lau. The first issue arrives November 4, 2009.

The final cover appears a lot darker but it did fit. It really caught my eye started to read it and pre ordered the comic. I just finished it and can say the excellent cover is fitting for this great story.

REally super cool! I especially love the background (always think that too many people put sooo many time in the character itself and then just dump a plane background what a pitty) ... Although I'm a little bit unsure about the magic. Don't get me wrong it's nicely painted, but I don't get if he is conjuring a circle or two flames (one in each hand).
