Description
This is an acrylic painting based on a photo. I thought I'd do this as a companion piece to the "terminator" painting. The link between the two is James Cameron. One film critic described H.R. Giger's alien as "the most repulsive creature ever seen on the screen." With acid for blood, these flesh-eating monsters begin life as a crab-like parasite that clings to the face of a victim (usually a human), depositing eggs into the mouth. An embryo grows inside the victim's chest until it's ready to burst out in a torrent of blood. After this it rapidly grows into a scuttling monstrosity. Incidentally, there are creatures like this on Earth. There is a species of wasp that paralyzes caterpillars, laying eggs in their bodies. When the larvae emerge they have a readily available food source.Related content

Thanks. Funnily enough, AVP was on TV the other day. But I prefer the first two movies.

;O Great job, is that the Alien from the move Alien vs Predator? ;x It's awesome. Maybe next time you should resize it? Just a thought it would look much better, plus it takes time to upload.

Thanks. I think this might be the queen from "Aliens". The head is a bit different. The picture I worked from was in a book published in 1995.
