Another onnagata work.Murasaki is lavender, both flower and color.
Took a while to figure out the right media for this work. But I'm glad lavender came to mind.

you really pose the right resourses for me to make the story that i wanted.. your (i want to say geishas but i feel ill be ignorant in that...)thier really beautiful. i needed a good artistic look at them and i thought i wouldnt find what i needed. but thatnk you ^^ i love your gallery. im looking at each and every picture ^^

they are all men - Onnagaga - Kabuki actors who play female roles.

Onnagata esli oni horoshije onnagata, takoje vpechatlenije chto on pod svoim kimono peretekajet a ne dvigajetsa so vsemi kostjashkami. Estj u menaj odin znakomij... smotrju kak on tancujet (kimono to ih zakutivajet polnostju kak kokon)oschuschenije chto plivet, hochetsa razdetj i posmotretj esche raz... >.>
Saotome menja ne osobo vechatlil, ne znaju pochemu... tk ja ne spec po tancam, motivirivatj ne mogu logicheski no chtoto mne ne sovsem nravitsa v tom kak on tancujet... No horoshoj malchik, posmotrim kak virastet! prosto malenkij esche, navernoje. heh princessa iz nego horoshaja poluchilasj, osobenno kogda zaigrival s odnim tovarischem takimi glazkami *neuzheli vasha devushka luchshe zhenschina chem ja* ^_^

Kak to zatjanula menja eta tema, Onnagata (akter igrajuschij/tancujuschij zhenskije roli) takoje interesnoje javlenije - tk ja kak raz etu temu i professionalno izuchaju - to vse chto v dushe nakaplivajetsa, vot tak raznimi putjami naruzhu i vihodit.

The expression is something between sadness and contemplation, and I like it just like that...
The kimono. Where to begin. My! What attention to detail! All those folds...you didn't simplify it at all... It suits you. It suits your drawing. It's also pretty (you know) amazing. The design is quite nice, too...much more simplistic (and dare I say, "beautiful"?) than many other stylized kimono designs I've seen around dA...
I don't know how you manage it, but your art has this lovely, "oh, simple and pretty~~" feel to it at first, but there's so much attention to detail...you confound the senses.

I'm glad lavender works, it was a funny spontaneous decision to redraw initial sketch on it.
HAhahaha - this is how it should look, simple and easy until you start to work through detail and see what work had been put into all of it. I am glad this is how it feels. And an happy yo take yuor time to evaluate detail - it means so much to me.
The dances are usually such a soft sad stories, a bit dramatic, but works so well when well made - and the way they move - it seems such small simple moves, but they take so much strength - whole body is like a drawn string. Such power.
Tamasaburo is known for dancing with a feeling of ease,which is sometimes reprimanded, but this 8ease* is something he works himself to the bone to achieve. He says - it shodul look easy, and then you comprehend the true input!
