Nice focus and a very clean writing. The Camera is well used. Time spent on it. It gives an impact on reader who never thought of this.

But i found it a bit plain. I have seen nearly the same pic on the front page, but with a colder effects used instead of warm effects on your picture. There were water droplets behind it.

But to be honest "BELIEVE" is not that surprising anymore. A poetry even would work with the word. Or a good typography could be used. Even some picture could be added. But just pointing it out makes it quite unoriginal.

I see you worked on this pic with the least amount of flaws for an eye. But also a person must see your effords at first look. And say "it's a genuis idea".

Those are told to an artist who worked well and asked for a critique. If it was a personal experience to try this idea, you've done well.

A small addition: I know BELIEVE is a commonly used phrase. But more often we incorporate it with winning or a optimistic approach. I feel this photo kinda brings in the pessimistic side to the word... But I have to agree on some of the other points.

This is a well used concept. However, despite that fact, you've caught it in a very capturing moment.

The colours blend in very well in each other, which makes the picture soft and pleasant to look at. I would however like to point out, that the note could've been a little brighter or the background a little darker to focus more on the note and the meaning behind it.

Positive is that you put the word in a sentence and I also think you make it clear how easy it is to believe in lies.

It's not an original concept, but despite this, it's a very unique photo. Keep up the good work!

I like where you're going with this. The way that you've written it out, the focus of the camera, and the choice of colors are all very cool and somewhat original. The message of "there are lies in belief" is also somewhat profound, and coincidental, considering the convenient fact that the word 'lie' can in fact be found within the latter word: believe. Regardless of this nifty little truth, it doesn't hold much water. Apart from the fact that some people do end up believing in lies, these two words don't really coincide with each other that well. Much like the word 'corn' and 'corner' don't have that much in common.
In the end a lot of people may disagree with me on all this. But if nothing else, this whole Be[lie]ve ordeal has been played time and time again. It has to be one of the most unoriginal quips on DeviantArt. Don't take my word for it. Look it up.
In closing though, I must say you did put a nice little spin on it, by putting it in a sentence like that. Kudos.

I guess it's pretty cool but the same thing has been done a countless amount of times. A simple deviant art search of 'believe lie' shows a countless amount of deviants that use the exact same wordplay. The technique is done quite well although it is certainly not unique. No matter how much I look at the background I still can't tell what's going on, which maybe is the point, but I don't see how it adds anything significant to the overall picture. The rest of the deviant merely consists of average looking handwriting with the unoriginal words. There isn't much to this deviant that sets it apart from any of the others with the same words. The idea of writing it down and taking a picture of it separates it a bit, although the technique is very common.

I really like this picture and the concept that it brings! You did great on focussing on the note, but I think that it needs a different background that supports it. I feel that the note and the words are just kind of there, but there isn't a real story behind it to believe it. I also like that it brings out a little bit of mystery and suspiciousness to the word. Overall, I like your idea and concept, and it really puts out a new meaning and idea. Great job with this picture, I can see that you're a great photographer!

yes but if you were to take out lie then you would be left with beve and that isn't a word so that is just silly and makes no sense at all.

I have to agree with the critiques; to a degree. While their words are harsh there is truth. How they handled the critique however was not entirely right. I'd like to provide some positive critique.

I really like the warm colors used. Coming from a cool colors person, that must mean something right? The use of red to draw attention to the word 'lie' is perfectly executed. It ties well with the red hues found in the background. However, the background holds almost no relevance to the message being portrayed. It feels like the message itself is a distraction from what is going on.

I like that the message itself is entirely in focus. It gives emphasis to the writing. But as is...it's a yellow note in front of something blurry. Tell a story with your piece. What emotions can you imply with the color red? I like the font, but what other styles could give it more emotion? This piece is beautiful as is, but lacks a degree of thought behind it. Give your viewer something to be lost in.

"Unoriginal idea" or not, it still works. The artist obviously has expressed themselves here; which is practically the definition of art. Whether this has been reused or not isn't the most important thing; it obviously works as its so popular.

Pictures of eggs with faces drawn on them and pictures of kittens are popular too, and that doesn't mean it's art. Stuff like this I've seen many times. The frontpage is now full of "deep" pictures with cliche concepts, which most of them are not original, and just occasionally good art.
