Description Recently I've got a lot of questions about linearts so I decided to make this little tutorial and share my way.

About other tutorials coming from me, I don't think I'll do any sort of "my way of creating the whole picture" (unless I'm paid lol) because your style is your style and the method doesn't matter. I use a different method for almost every picture and my style is quite constant I think. It's just a matter of mood and personal preference. After following every step of a certain tutorial you won't start drawing like it's author.

Thank you so much for the tutorial! It's a lot simpler than some of the crazier, more complex tutorials but shows a really pretty way of coloring! =3

I just have one question, I hope you'll be able to answer me: What exactly do you mean by grayscale brushes? ^.^; that's the one thing I don't quite understand about this tutorial, and I would really like to~

Thanks so much for your help though! =3

I'm very happy you found this tutorial helpful!

As for grayscale brushes, I simply meant painting with a white, gray or black color (using a normal brush) so that the color will match the original lineart.

Yep I did! =3 I'm going to try applying it to a future painting~ =3

And I see! It all makes sense now. Thanks for clarifying that for me. ^.^;;;

Oh my goodness thank you, I think I will use this method from now on. I am much faster and better at inking traditionally than I am at inking digitally.

I'm definitely going to keep that dodge tool bit in mind. Normally I use the clone brush to clean up art in PS because paper never appears white, or even the same shade when I scan it, but that looks a lot easier.

You must to pay for this program (that expensive) or if your good in computer you can crack one or find a copy. But this is not legal...

MasakiAiko In reply to aly1 [2011-01-01 18:29:52 +0000 UTC]

or is an other problem..like sony vegas..apears to registre onlline for the code to have the full version of it..but they've never send the code..and you need to find another way..yeah..pretty hard..you payed the program?o_o

aly1 In reply to MasakiAiko [2011-01-01 18:52:10 +0000 UTC]

They give you a demo version with a serial code for the 30 next days, after this period you must to buy the full version (buy the serial code around 200$ or more, not sure for the price) or just delete the software. It is normal.
I buy the program because I study in Computer Design and we should to have them for homework and project.
This is an investment, if you're sure you will use it overtime, buy it, if not, I think demo version be okay or a free programs like Gimp can make a great result too.
