Watercolour of one of my favourite characters to christen my gallery! Sorry about the watermark,wish I didn't have to....You'll note Alice is emerging from her book to walk across the pool of tears-with the Mad Hatter,Caterpillar & Griffin... have a great New Year![Edit:rescanned 04.10]

Actually, though*puts on serious face!* I know the press around Carroll was bad for a few years, with the photos of Alice & all, but with his mathematical genius & social awkwardness, he's now believed to have suffered from a personality disorder such as Asperger's ....& Alice Liddell in later memoirs describes him as harmless...unlike that freak Barrie (wouldn't touch 'Neverland" with a ten-foot pole....Peter Pan has been ruined for me!)

Very nice work, there's so much to look at. The colours are cool, but perhaps a little more contrast would bring them out more. Anyways, great painting
