You should reach out on DA/Tumblr. There are tons of people coming out from the midwest! Splitting transportation and hotel costs is always the best way to go, at least when I go to cons

It's a good idea, though I don't think my folks would allow me to travel with total strangers to New York for a fetish convention [still living at home and dealing with over-protective parents]
