Description
One of the best things in season 3 is all the new interesting characters (And BG ponies with nice color combos!)I really fell in love with Granny Smiths cousins from when they were young. They all were so adorable!!
This picture is supposed to be a follow up to this old picture of mine;
As you can see, they are at the same location in both pictures. My thought was that this spot was Granny Smiths secret place, and the only one she showed it to ever, was Cousin Apple Rose
I tried , once again, a new style, and this one I really liked. I think lines fit my artstyle more XD
Well, this will be the last artwork in 2012 for me! Hope you like it!

Yeah, some of the Apples looked really cool... but I always thought that Apples (AJ, Applebloom and Big Mac) had the most extraordinary design in the show... they stand out the most, AJ having her hat (and freckles), Applebloom the ribbon and all...
Nice drawing.

These are the two most precious pones in season 3 so far. And this is a really precious art of them.

Great work meno. I enjoyed watching you create this for a little while.
Also I really like how your style shifts and the changes you make when you make new pictures. I feel like you're comfortable and happy with it and it shows in your work.

Lineless is just more difficult because it kind of forces you to actually understand how lighting works.

Definitely. Then however, you can learn that with lines as well. Most important to me is that you like your artstyle. I had more fun drawing this picture than the CMC one, and what matters is that I have fun drawing

As somebody who has been radically shifting my art style all the time, I don't think it's that important that you HAVE to like your art style. A friend once told me that one of the worst things that can happen to an artist is being too attached to something too early. Considering that I have been able to critique a person's style, it's potentially worrying. Sometimes, they go super-defensive and shut themselves off from any possible critique if somebody can actually bring up very good points about a person's 'style'.
IMO, it's much easier to improve if you don't worry about having your own style. I once heard from an art professional that the essence of an art style should come from exactly what you want out of your art. If we disregard techniques and other stuff, our style will only be whatever happens to be stuck with us, and results won't be as satisfying. I can argue this goes for even anatomical styles. Even if we're dealing with FiM-style, almost every detail of their anatomy style I've noted is totally purposeful and designed towards a very specific goal.

Well yes this is correct if you are striving to become a professional artist, as you always should strive to improve yourself them.
However, for me, I use drawing as an relaxation. It's what I do when I need to stress dowm and just do something for fun. That's why for me it's more important that I like what I draw than to to always push the limits. If I draw just to improve, and not because I like what I draw, then I won't enjoy it, and then there won't be any will to continue.

I think the show would do well to give us a full on set-in-the-past episode with these characters.
