In photoshop I used a combination of grunge brushes and a paper texture image (each on separate layers) set on overlay mode to achieve this. Try experimenting with other modes as well. Here's some great textures: [link] hope this helps! <3

I like that mechanic design! It made me remember of a Bestie Boys' video... I don't remember the name, but your robot doesn't have anything to do with their robot..it's just me being weird. Hm... I love the texture, colors and the perspective.
