I love the brushes and textures used here, especially in the contrast between the smoothness of her lips and the more coarse brush used in her hair. I also love the fact that there are only three or four main colors used. Gahh, this is just really gorgeous. <3

When I saw this artwork for the first time (on a youtube clip) I was gobsmacked! Just wow! It embodies the essence of character completely and magnifies it ten fold. It's sheer Irene Adler. Love it!

I haven't seen the new Sherlock yet (wish I had) but I have to say... I will be angry if they make her Sherlocks romance interest. I am a fan of everything Sherlock, have all the movies, read all the books, love the BBC series (you actually started my obsession, your drawings made me curious) and it annoys me to no end when she is used as a love interest in any biproduct of the original books (she appeared in 1 short story and bested him only slightly. The new films annoy me the most with her in them... even though she is played by my favourite actress.)
In this particular series, Sherlock even says he was married to his work even, so if Irene comes and 'charms' Sherlock, I'll be annoyed. My rant is over now
