...from the Amelia Peabody mystery series by Elizabeth Peters. Which I have just started reading and thoroughly recommend. XDMy first version of this I accidentally drew without a parasol, which I then had to go back and change. Because...you need the parasol.
It just occurred to me that my last few drawings have been intrepid duos of one kind or another. I wonder if I'm going through a phase, drawing-wise?

I stumbled across one of the Amelia Peabody books when I first retired in 2009. Read them in no particular order as I came across them at my local library book store. After finally finishing the final book, I decided to start from the beginning and read them in order. Now on #3 and having a ball with my two favorite Egyptologist. I hope Barbara Mertz (E. Peters) knows how much enjoyment she gave to so many. NOW - we need either a movie or a TV series. Could be as good as The Game of Thrones....

I know, I did hear that. It made me so so sad! It made me wish I had written her or something to tell her how much I loved her books. I thought about it, but now the chance is gone.
