The detail and colors are incredible and the face makes me think of a Mexican sugar skull. What is the story behind this siren? She seems a bit melancholy.

The colors you used give this piece a pretty unhappy feeling; you primarily used green and purple, which are not only relative cool colors, but personally I would associate them with poison.
The depressed feeling gets even more intense when you look at the siren. Her face expresses no real emotion. And I wouldn't be happy if a heart was chained around my neck, either.
You made awesome details. Must have taken hour to make all the lines and circles, eh? I would say it was worth it; the finished piece just looks gorgeous!

Maybe a goth Ariel but lol. I like the fact that she doesn't look like Ariel so much, too many mermaid's look too much like the movie version.
