My first Green Lantern cover.I'm surprised it's already posted online since I only just finished it late last week. My editor asked me to paint a Zodiac wheel riff where all the Lantern Entities encircle the White Lantern Battery in the center. ROYGBIV to the max.

Thanks! Maybe should have used Ion but I wanted a human face to connect with. Plus it draws your eye to that area.

Thanks! That was my call. If it was ION, there wouldn't be a focus to the cover and I wanted some connection to the title character. Plus, it was my first chance to paint Hal.

WOW! I like how only Hal looks normal compared to the others, incredible. The rest look amazing and somewhat terrifying. Looknig at Hal makes me think he sort of wards them off or something. Really nice work, tough!

That was my decision and the editor backed me up. I just felt like the star should be on the cover of his own book. Maybe it should have been ION but I stand by it.

I agree with you on this decision, it actuatley makes it look alot better then just haveing Ion up. Adds that awesomeness GL ring slingin time feel to it. Considering it IS Green Lantern, the star should always be SOMEWHERE on the cover.
