Schrödinger's actual pet cat was called Milton, and died (as far as anyone knows) of natural causes.
The more famous Schrödinger's cat that is referenced in the title of my piece up there is just a theoretical cat, and didn't ever actually exist. No cats were harmed in the making of either the thought experiment about quantum theory, or the making of this image.
