According to Ethan Kendrick's testimony, Sarah Daniels willingly gave her life up to the injured Good Imoogi in an attempt to keep her power from Buraki. "Absorbing her power", the Imoogi transformed into a gigantic dragon. Defiant, Buraki fought to the last, but was ultimately incinerated by the Celestial Dragon, leaving only his crumbling fortress in the endless desert. The Celestial Dragon stayed long enough to allow Sarah to bid farewell to Ethan, then flew off into the overcast sky. This was apparently the last thing Ethan remembered before he woke up in a back alley.

It remains unclear as to what the Imoogi serpents truly were, but a strange comet was sighted over Korea a few hours ago, heading due south. Oddly, its trajectory was angled out of the Earth's atmosphere.

Update: December 12, 2007: Genetic tests on several scraps of Buraki's tissue torn off during the struggle in Los Angeles have come to a rather surprising conclusion: Buraki is related not only to Ghidorah, but more closely to Manda. Quite a bit of Atlantean genetic tampering seems to have been done on the great serpent. Perhaps the Imoogi were an attempt to create "homegrown" dragons, and the promise of unlocked potential would be granted to the well-behaved ones. But then, how to explain the "divine" aspect of their ascension? Ethan claimed to have been brought to a massive desert with no apparent end. Perhaps this was a hint at transdimensional travel, and "The heavens" were another realm that was ultimately unlocked to them? The concept of Ethan being the reincarnation of a former life raises theistic questions that I am wholly unqualified to answer, and at the moment, the true origin of the Imugi serpents remains something of an enigma.
