The cover to CATWOMAN 83, from DC Comics, coming soon!Even though CATWOMAN was cancelled over a year ago, and issue #82 was her last, she returns to her book one last time, as part of the BLACKEST NIGHT storyline!
Pencil & ink on Strathmore illustration board, then colored with Adobe Photoshop CS2.

I have always admired your work.
Using Audrey Hepburn as a model for Catwoman is a unique take. However her bust size has been enhanced beyond the dimensions of the actress who starred in "Ondine". Did you use shots from "Roman Holiday" as reference material? She looks to be from about that period in her career.

That's because Catwoman isn't Audrey Hepburn. She's Selina Kyle, who, when I'm drawing her, bears a facial resemblance to Audrey Hepburn. That's the nature of art. Inspiration can be drawn from many different sources, and partial inspiration can be drawn from one source.
