Created for the weekly theme which is 'Men In Armour'.I could think of at least a dozen scenarios to fit this scene, it reminds me of many moments from films and games and had my imagination working overtime the more I thought about it. This could be the fall of Minas Ithil in Lord of the Rings, a lone surviving Grey Warden after the Battle of Ostagar in Dragon Age: Origins, or a Crusader in the Holy Land after an attack. He could be good or evil, rising from the rubble to seek revenge or crawling through the ruins to escape. Maybe a huge dragon is about to stick its head through that archway and notice it missed one last snack, or perhaps an army of darkspawn or orcs has overlooked a survivor.
I like to think whoever this guy is, when he gets back on his feet and reaches that sword, someone is going to pay.

Nice! Just a few things.
The rocks in the foreground (well, especially the one in the bottom left corner) don't look that good. I am not really into rendering stuff, so I don't know why that is 
Second: The helmet can not be from the guy lying there, it's just waaaay to huge. Who's it from then?^^
Third: I just fell in love with that sword details.

Agree with you about the rocks. They are low polygon items and not very realistic at close range, probably because they are part of a very large castle ruins set meant to be viewed at a distance.
Interesting comment on the the helmet. Thats actually a trick of perspective. It is the size of the guys head, and if I moved it backwards into the scene it would fit him perfectly, hehe.
And yes, that sword is just beautiful, had to use it!
