Photography by Me, MDesignz, Lilacs In My Secret GardenLast year I had to cut my lilacs almost down to nubbins, I was
having Electrical Wires moved and the workers cut them back
to about 3 feet high...
I was devastated, these plants are over 30 years old and
pruning them so deeply I feared they would not come back
Imagine My Joy when these beauties bloomed, and even
more fully, this past week...I waited until they all opened
up and shot photos yesterday for about an hour...
And The Smell....Oh, that Delicious Smell of Fresh Lilacs in A Garden

Oh, I love lilacs! My most favorite smell. One good whiff brings back memories of my childhood.
This is an excellent shot with perfect depth of field. I have a miniature lilac that bloomed like crazy this year, but the smell isn't quite the same.

I too had miniature and small lilac bushes that bloomed but did not smell good...
I like the old fashion lilac bush that smell for miles if the wind is blowing

I have a lilac, it has one flower on it this year, just one. It goes like that sometimes.
