Description
The sky people visiting my village was nothing new. They came at random, brought healers and gifts. But this time was different. Two great metal birds descended from the sky like ill omens (dull green instead of the usual bright orange or grey.) They took us away.
*One month later.*

*Huuuuugh spit* I threw up again. All I can smell and taste is the inside of this machine and gunpowder, and no one has bathed in at least two days. My ears stopped ringing, and the sound of the 3 gunners seems softer now. "Hey, put your mask back on soldier. This area is radiated!" "30 SECONDS!!" Time stood still, I couldn't breathe. The front ramp creaked, then crashed open an almost blinding light flooded in. My eyes adjusted, I beheld clouds like mushrooms, so many dressed as I was like ants swarming over a hill, machines like armored turtles moving as grazing herds among the grass. When I stepped off the loading ramp, my feet sunk into the mud with a crunch. I realized I now run on a field of corpses. I can't bring myself to cry, I can't bring myself to scream, I half stumble forward as if in a dream.

I want to go home.

A quick piece I whipped up to see how well I could do some lineart over a rougher sketch.
