More cold weather photos from the Alaska far north! Still REALLY cold.....OUCH! I stayed in today and just watched the thermometer.....it was -10 F or –23 C! We’ve been spoiled by global warming for much of the last 10 years or so here in Alaska and when it gets cold.....like it used to ALWAYS be.....it seems very bitterly cold now! It is simply beautiful and awesome to see though!
I got quite a few photos, so you may be seeing the snowy pics for awhile!
Hope you enjoy a bit of winter scenery from the Great North Land! Thanks for looking and all the very best for a blessed and Happy New Year! I celebrate by enjoying the bounteous beauty of nature in the ”Far North” at this time of year.

Calgary, Alberta. Some of the most beautiful sunrises I have ever seen took place the morning after a blizzard. -40 (F and C!) crisp clear sky and the sun coming up reflecting off the rockies in the distance.
Of course then I had to get bundled up and walk to school lol .. still beautiful.

I'm itching to get out there right now, and might be able to get a couple of shots before dark if I finish up some things inside. NO snow yet? Wow....I thought you folks had some nearly every winter! Thanks so much Tracy for all your most kind and lovely comments on my snow photos.....very much appreciated!! We've just been spoiled by the last 10 or so "warm winters"! I've been here 43 years and years ago it was VERY cold much of the winter, and you just got used to dressing up in many layers of clothing....face masks if the wind was blowing.....and didn't think too much about it! It IS very cold now....but "seems" much colder because we got used to warmer winters! I have to admit that not being able to feel the camera buttons through golves.....is a bit of a pain! But the sheer beauty is worth it!
