thanks, but there's nothing you can do, because there's nothing i can do, which is a great shock to the system. For someone who's always been the go-to person, the take-charge when in need girl (hell i even had awhole plan for when-in-case-of-earthquakes, which happens every decade or so in egypt), it was really horrible to discover that with death, you are completely useless. there is absolutely nothing to do.

Strangely, just like I did with the new Linkin Park (and from what I read I was in the minority), I liked the album from first listen. It's not Bleed American or Futures but I really dig it.

I liked the LP one too, I wasn't aware that many people didn't dig it as much. And, yeah, I guess I was expecting another Futures from JEW, but I know that is an unrealistic expectation! Just like I've had with the last two Saves the Day albums!

Yes! Do you like it? Some songs took a bit to grow on me, but usually Jimmy Eat World can never do wrong by me. A couple of songs took me back to the Futures album (which I absolutely loved almost equally to Clarity). I gave it a huge thumbs up. Although I didn't think Big Casino was perhaps the right first single to release (that song made me afraid of what the rest of the album would be) - I don't know why, I guess that song isn't TOO bad, but certainly not the best off the album to draw people in.

I don't like it so far. Until yesterday I had never heard a song by them that I didn't like. They're the only band that I can say that about along with Weezer. Every song isn't necessarily great, but they're all good.
But this was the first time I ever listened to an album all the way through in one sitting. Before now it has been a song from this album, then one from that album, etc, etc. I'll listen to it a few more times.

Listen to it a few more times for sure, they'll probably grow on you. Although I was a tad disappointed that I didn't like them all right off the bat (like I usually do) and "growing on me" sounds almost like I'm forcing myself to like a song just because I'm a fan of the band, but...well, maybe I am. Haha.
