atención pregunta, ¿sabes si el verbo alegrar (cheer??) va seguido de un to? si se quiere poner alegrar a fulanito etc

Nope. Si quieres decir por ejemplo "quiero animar/alegrar a Pepito" dices "I want to cheer up Pepito"
