Since I was blocked by the other guy, and am unable to reply to your comment, I'll just leave it here:

Although I said it was cliché, that's not all I said. I wasn't really interested in providing extensive feedback, because the author's at a maturity level where this is all there is to his writing, and it'll take a couple of years (if he keeps on writing) to get to a point where he realizes how poor his writing used to be. Right now, as he himself has stated, he's happy with his writing, which pretty much says it all.

It was mostly a rant about how this is the kind of literature that ends up on the popular page, serving as a bad example of what dA should be offering. There are way too many teenagers on this place, and it shows. It's either random pictures of cats, cosplay, anime, or this.

I agree that there's way too much angst on here, I was just upset that there wasn't anything that could build up the author as a writer (it wasn't constructive). I just didn't think it was the right place for a rant... though I agree with your thinking.
It couldn't have accomplished much, because like you said, he's happy with where he is and is going to have to get better with time (like everyone does).

I guess its hard to tell by my sign in but I am a female and live in New Mexico. I love flowers, sunrises and sunsets and old cars and pick-ups. I grew up on a farm and ranch in Montana so that could explain most of this I guess. I still have my Dads 55 GMC pick-up which is shown in my gallery and I love driving it. Just went through a nasty year and a half separation so I am getting my feet back under me and my head straight again. Life is Good.
