I don't really have much interest now after so long, to be honest! Also, I lost all my old files when my hard drive crashed, including the site and my in-progress fics, along with my art and everything else, and I don't imagine too many other people are going to be finishing their old fics after 20 years either. However, I am sure the site is on web.archive.org (the url used to be amandaswiftgold.com) and since it was mostly text it probably was able to save most of it before it was gone, so that might help if you still want to read some of those.

It was one of the largest RW archives if I remember right! (Mind, I've been reading fanfiction since I was about 10 and I'll be 28 next month... So I remember the struggle in the early 2000's!)

I sure as hell hope it's time for an upswing! Literally, my shitty year started Jan 1st. My birthday is in 3 weeks, the next DLC for Destiny comes out the day after my birthday... My brother is in the halfway house... I'm stuck in Las Vegas for now, but I'm working on getting BACK to Colorado. My ex is 13 houses down the street currently, fucking my ex best friend... I need that upswing, I want to see my older brother, I haven't seen him in almost 2 years. 2 years the week after my birthday. So that upswing... I could really use it.

I'm actually working with some other people on getting a Legend of Dragoon prequel game on track (centered around the Dragon Campaign). Seeing your drawings has made my job of writing character profiles for each of the main protagonists quite a lot easier. What with Kanzas playing around with Damia, Belzac having Shirley's back, and the team looking absolutely awesome together.. it just makes me smile.

I've always thought it would make a good game. Probably the reason I haven't stopped writing my fic on it either (though it's taken *forever*) - you know what happens from LoD but not the details, so you can do a ton of stuff with them, and I love that...

Good things come to those -with patience and determination- I think the expression goes  I do agree with you that the Dragon Campaign storyline is the ideal environment to be creative while also being constrained (in a good way) by the lore already set in place. It is the greatest mystery of all why Sony didn't go ahead to create this prequel. It's just, beyond me. That said it's still not easy to come up with solutions for every little detail of a story.. For how long have you been writing your take on the fiction? I've been writing the character profiles since about one week now, trying to also get a handle on the story, and I'm continuing strong!

Heh, it sounds sad to say it, but I started the story in 2002. It kinda blew up to 3 novel-lengths and I don't write in sequence well so I have a lot written that I haven't posted yet, and can't until I get the middle pieces done. But, yeah, I still work on it and haven't lost interest like I have in a lot of stories, so that's something anyway. Definitely have come too far to stop now...

Not sad at all. It's amazing that you've stuck with it for all these years. Much respect if anything. Seeing how I've only started now (though I do get some help from the other writers on the Facebook group), I can't really judge the length of the road ahead. Here's hoping that we can pull something off working together (with the people in the fb group I mean).

If it's not too much to ask (sorry, I've already taken much of your time) could I sent you some character profiles I've written for the project? It would be the greatest thing if I could get your opinion on them (not forcing you to, of course). Just anything from critical comments to ruthless feedback would help immensely.
