Maybe try messing around with the line tool and making a pattern out of it. It is indeed difficult to get it spaced out and I thought I would still have the pattern available to me, but it appears that Photoshop likes to delete my patterns -- the fuckers!

To be honest I don't really remember how I did mine, but I believe it would have been similar to this technique! So it still kinda has the Killy touch, I guess
