What I was doing there was wasting time I could've spent learning for any of my two exams today, which is kind of what I'm doing now too. First one up at 9:30. I... hope I get something I know?

soranna In reply to cremow [2012-02-13 17:28:54 +0000 UTC]

Damn exams, always making you dodge learning. Did you get something you knew? Could you get there because of snow?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

cremow In reply to soranna [2012-02-14 12:31:25 +0000 UTC]

Yes, I knew everything at the second exam, and half of it, i guess, at the first.

Snow is not an issue.

Yay for smart people who take exams without learning!
O.O That's too bad. Snow is 60cm here and it's BRILLIANT. I stayed home today. And Pica got lost outside and we freaked out and I swimmed through snow to find her but it turns out she was trapped or hidden somewhere with a motan. Everything is fine and MORE KITTIES!!!

cremow In reply to soranna [2012-02-14 13:57:12 +0000 UTC]

Don't you mean everything is more kitties? I did learn though! Just not when I was browsing the internets. :3

I most definitely enjoy Veneration the most. After I listen to Temporal Piano once again I'll go look for some more music; might find something entertaining. Ok maybe after I listen to Temporal Piano a few more times. NEW MUSIC CAN WAIT.

Don't you fear catchygrabbing a cold, seeing how you swam in the infinite snowy expanse?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

soranna In reply to cremow [2012-02-14 18:10:32 +0000 UTC]

Veneration is nice too, I like the lyrics, but i like AAM better :3 It's nice when you're obsessed with songs, it happens so not often.

'catchygrabbing' sounded so alex-like (from a clockwork orange), did you think of that?O.O sounds like eggiweg or skolliwoll and nope, it wasn't very cold outside. but i already caughtograbbed a small cold a few days ago and it might get worse but meh i don't really care. will you write at the newspaper thingy?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

cremow In reply to soranna [2012-02-14 19:16:46 +0000 UTC]

IM NOT OBSESSED. Why would you call me that! .o.

I only thought of that in a remembery way; it's a Homestuck term, as in, an in-universe fictional character's name (the villain of a kids' show starring the squiddles). As far as the newspaper thingy goes, I really don't care and, since nobody's really pressuring me or asking about that I'm probably going to just lay low and not. It's difficult enough remembering about my own motherfucking blog, which, à propos, I'm going to go do just about now because, yeah, I just remembered I could indeed do that.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

soranna In reply to cremow [2012-02-15 17:36:09 +0000 UTC]

Because you a-a-are :3 What else would you call listening to a song *checks* 119 times in one month? Obsessed!

How was the villain called, exactly?.o.

But you did just remember about your blog! And posted! Also about the newspaper, I'll pressure you. *pressures* *pressures* *pesters* *pressures* *pesters again*

Skipper Plumbthroat. Also known as Catchybrabber, according to his song, titled: Catchygrabber.

Ok, but seeing how you're pressuring me, what am I supposed to do with all the pressure now._.?

You just used the pressure to draw an awesome unicowrn. Congratulations! (really, the unicowrn is brilliant, you should trademark it x_x)

But still, WRITE. There's still time, you can write something awesomely awesome and send it and this will be the dawn of your authorship. Or not. Either way, doooooooooooooo it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

cremow In reply to soranna [2012-02-16 23:39:11 +0000 UTC]

here, a better unicowrn

The either way issue is: I can't bring anything in mind to write about.

soranna In reply to cremow [2012-02-17 15:58:48 +0000 UTC]

I like the drawn one better, it's more realistic.

Yes, that might be a problem ._. Write about... obliviousness. Unicowrns. Or not having anything to write about ,_,

Sorites paradox
Otherwise known as the "paradox of the heap", the question regards how one defines a "thing." Is a bale of hay still a bale of hay if you remove one straw? If so, is it still a bale of hay if you remove another straw? If you continue this way, you will eventually deplete the entire bale of hay, and the question is: at what point is it no longer a bale of hay?

I just found this and it reminded me of how your two latest deviations are or aren't the same thing because one of them is a modified version of the other. The sorites paradox might help, but it doesn't.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

cremow In reply to soranna [2012-02-19 15:50:37 +0000 UTC]

It's easy. It can stop being a bale once you define the characteristics of a bale. A bale of hay, would, in my opinion, be a stable structure composed of stacked hay. Once you remove enough straws for the structure to either topple over, get blown by the wind, or be scattered, instead of stacked, it is no longer a bale.

soranna In reply to cremow [2012-02-21 19:12:12 +0000 UTC]

O______________O
That makes perfect sense. For the bale example, but that can't apply to all things, can it? Because not all of them have particularities so well defined?

(also I really really like Burnt Reynolds from Crippled Black Phoenix)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

cremow In reply to soranna [2012-02-21 19:45:16 +0000 UTC]

Well if they don't have particularities that well defined, define them! It doesn't apply to everything, but... does it apply to anything? Technically, a deviation is different even if the image is the same, as long as the title is different. I guess there's... a way you could define such a thingy and work yourself around it but I don't see why one would go through that much trouble to get to this conclusion.

CBP is one of those bands that just sits there, in the playlist, awkwardly watching, waiting, hoping I'll listen to it once, but never really sees that happen. Because I don't exactly listen to it too often outside of the cases the playlist (randomly) assigns a song from them (which has a low chance of happening).

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

soranna In reply to cremow [2012-02-24 18:21:17 +0000 UTC]

Yes, that makes sense. But particularities might be difficult or subjective to define, for example how can you say when a man isn't a man anymore? maybe when he lacks a part of his body or when his reasoning doesn't really work anymore, depends on the point from which you view it, which leads to the fact that it's subjective and this should also be their conclusion. Philosophers, that's what they do. Because it's fun x_x

Do it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

cremow In reply to soranna [2012-02-25 09:31:20 +0000 UTC]

I'm pretty sure a man can't not be a man anymore. If you die, you're a dead man. If you're sex change to the max, you're a transgendered man. And did you... just... say that a man is no longer a man when his reasoning doesn't work (from one point of view)? Because the other thingy besides "man" is "woman". Are you implying women don't reason? Is that what you think, Sorana? Is that how you REALLY feel? Huh?

(Do what? There's so many its around me I'm damn breathing them; there's so many its you'd say they were once 3 hamsters (a male, a female, and a transgendered male) you locked in a room with essentially infinite food, and then went to check 10 months later, and upon entering the room they all transformed in its and promptly started rolling outside the door because they were barely contained by the mundane, limited living area of said room.)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

soranna In reply to cremow [2012-02-25 18:26:19 +0000 UTC]

-.-" -.-" -.-" Is annoying me your purpose? IS IT? You know what I meant! *growl* But women usually reason less, yes.

How can they all have transformed into its? They already were its, everything is always its. Do you mean they'd be more of its than they'd been before because of the esentially infinite food? Does food affect their level of itness?

You're still going to have to do it some day.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

cremow In reply to soranna [2012-02-26 00:04:45 +0000 UTC]

While my purpose in life is quite far away from "annoying you", I must admit, I would hardly be myself if I passed such an amazing opportunity at it.

Didn't you hear about that "a pair of mice can breed a million ofgsprings in 8 months" thingy? because I'm pretty sure hamsters, being near micey, would surely become quite motherfucking many in 10 months. The transformation itself lies merely in the way we perceive the poor rodents; for the sake of example, we no longer call them "hamsters", but "its".

(no, really; do what? listen to CBP?)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

soranna In reply to cremow [2012-02-28 17:56:46 +0000 UTC]

Yes, maaaaaybe listen to CBP. Or maybe something else, something so shocking you'd never even think of it.
Like cats.

Oh, I get the hamsters rolling outside the door thingy now. x_x
