Hey I saw you posted on a forum way back in 2005 trying to find if anyone went to DMAC in Boca Raton. Did you ever attend or find anyone who went? I'm trying to find out about the same information before I drop 70k on an education.

I'd really like to break into the animation feild or something involved with concept art or digital painting. Have you been able to find employment since graduating and how well does the school help with job placement. Are the instructors really involved and experienced in what they are teaching? Thanks for getting back to me I appreciate your time.

I was graphic design. No they have never helped me get a job. I have been scraping by as a freelancer.
Most of the teachers aren't there that I knew. If you want my honest opinion... unless you are a natural at computer animation I wouldn't attempt it. It's a flooded field. I'd say illustration is better suited as a degree if you are going for concept cause at least you can always find work as a muralist, and freelance as a book illustrator. They do have a really amazing comic book artist there who's teaching.. Now if you just want a degree in a field you are interested in for less than other schools.. it may be the way to go.
BUT... Beware.. they are going to make you buy your own laptop, yes... laptop. They are taking out their computers and doing away with them. (they arent maintained all that well anyways.)
