It's more along the lines of being very very busy and being too lazy to go get my scanner from the place it is being stored. Also, I hadn't been drawing much of late. I appreciate the well wishes and such, but I truly hope I don't disappear into the bowels of the interwebs forever. I havea few pieces which need scanning and uploading, that is for sure.

I was glad to. I'm always interested in seeing people do adventurous photography, especially in the realm of bdsm. It always feels so much more real than professional work in that field... not that I have any qualms with professional work... I think it just has a different feel to it. If you want my opinion...

It's always harder to find someone in the BDSM world. You are adding another layer of compatibility to a situation that a hefty number of people can't manage to make work in the first place. You could line up twenty doms and one sub, and not one of those doms would work well with her. The same is true the other way around. It's hard to find someone you can like or love on a regular level, let alone when you add all your turn-ons and turn offs. Not to mention you kindof have to trust the person deeply as well.

That's just in general, in your specific case, there are a certain few things that might serve as potential hangups. I don't want to get too personal or anything, just my thoughts, in a nutshell.

Haha, well, no one has ever gotten "mad" except other comic book nerds... who can be some of the most bizarre and intractable people when it comes to the comics they like.

But no, maybe instead people have just been more like, "Yeah, I just don't care half as much as you apparently do about said topic."

As for the other stuff, I did really enjoy your work. And that is a shame about the lack of anyone to shoot with on the edgy stuff... It's always a shame to see willing models lacking photographers to do that kind of work.

There are plenty of us enthusiasts out here. I know I would love to work with a model again, someone really interested in working for the camera, rather than just someone playing along. I constantly see places or situations where I think "Damn, that would make a great picture if only XYZ", and then I realize that X and Y are that I'm lacking a subject... heh.

Yeah, I suppose that goes with everything too though-especially comics. Everyone has their opinion though although with comics, people misinterpret them:/ For instance people saying Wonder Woman sucks, how the HELL does she suck? She has muscle and god I could go on.

Why thank you-yeah I tend to do that a lot with other people's work as well but that's just because I'm critical and know photography by now just from modeling for so long. You used to be a photographer?

Haha, yes... I *almost* responded with an explanation of why I think certain characters suck, but then I realized I'd just be another comic fanboy blabbering on. A lot of times female characters get the short shrift in comic books, they become just another sex symbol rather than real people.

As for photography, well. I'm a passable photographer. I've got a real knack for setting up shots and such, but I've never had the money to invest in it fully. I would love to have a studio and an awesome DSL but right now, I don't have the resources.

I used to walk around the city where I lived with my camera and just shoot anything I saw that I liked, and I got plenty of great stuff like that. I've worked loosely with a couple of amateur models, mostly just my friends who agreed to pose. That always felt a little weird because I wanted them to act a certain way or look a certain way, but sometimes I felt if I asked for a pose or look with sexual subtext that it would make work tomorrow really awkward. I have since gotten better at direction, but I haven't been able to do any real work lately for other reasons.

Yeah, that's how it is unfortunately. For instance cat woman has been turned into a sex object in my opinion with her costume change. Wonder Woman is my favorite because she's always stayed a strong character

Ah, I see. Do you have a camera yet though?

Yeah, friend models are harder to work with because I've heard from another photographer that it's just odd asking things without sounding perverted.

I totally should snag me that shirt.

The wrist cuffs, well, because they are easier to use in certain bondage situations. You can use them for longer term stuff than rope or handcuffs, which can cut off circulation or pinch nerves or what have you. And to be honest, my collection of toys just needs a good solid pair of those added to it... sad to say I don't have any.

And since I did leave a few comments unanswered in the last reply: Yes, total agreement with your other photographer. It's one thing to tell a model to show a little skin or to pose erotically with a graveyard headstone when you don't know them, it's entirely different when you have to go in an work an 8 hour shift with said model tomorrow.

And sadly, no I haven't had the leisure income to procure myself a quality camera. I have a few point-and-click cameras at my disposal, but to do the kind of work I want, I really do need to snag a decent SLR... even a bottom of the barrel one. I just need the faster processing and the better lenses. Ah well. I's probably going to be my first "big purchase" once I have a little money to spend.

Well, I wouldn't say that I am collecting for the sheer purpose of collecting; said toys do have a practical application for which I intend to use them.

Ah yes, the curse of the artistically inclined... wage slavery so in our free time we might pursue our artistic bents. What are you off at school studying? If prying is not to be discouraged, that is.

No, not at all discouraged I am actually studying to be an exotic animal trainer. As you can tell, I love snakes/reptiles so I want to use that mainly to train them for movies and such...maybe even study them eventually.

Aww. Sorry to hear... Seems like almost everyone I know is sick now! I got it early, I guess. I hope you stay warm and safe through your blizzard type event. I heard rumours it was going to snow down here, but then it just decided to rain for two days and freeze on the windshield of my car.

I'd say lame, but ever since I stopped getting snow days from school, I've been less and less enamoured of winter. It's just that time of year when my heating bill is too high!
