honestly, i think it depends on what kind of job you do?
there are some serious shitty jobs over which i'd 100% prefer to go back to school.

That's pretty true,, but when I finish school-- or get to a legal age-- I want to get my first job and the pet shop where I got my dog :0
I think it'd be a fun job since I've always liked animals..

ah, i hate to tell you this, but pet stores are actually pretty bad, atleast the ones who sell live pets !
i work at an animal shelter and i know some pretty bad stories about them, in germany it's even banned to sell puppies in petstores because a lot of them are raised inappropriate ( were seperated from their mom way too early, don't know how to socialise properly, will have a lot of behaviour problems and bad health.. the list goes on. ) They mainly came from really shady breeders too, because no breeder who breeds dogs out of love for that breed would let their puppies be sold at an petstore for cheap. i don't know if you know about puppy mills, but thats definitly not something i would support.

the same is with guinea pigs and other rodents, mostly the people working at an petstore don't really know shit about the animals they work with, which leads to a lot of bad advice, because they just don't know any better. :0

you can look up any of that stuff if you want, i can even give you some first hand experiences. so maybe you change your mind and won't support a petstore which sells live animals. ;w; 

if you really care about animals you could help out at an shelter? or another rescue? or even a petting zoo or actual zoo instead !

Ahh I see... I never thought that pet stores could be that cruel. I know for a fact that our dog was from a puppy mill, and I'm quite sad that he had to experience whatever he did. 
I know that the pet store I got him from later on quite selling puppies. The only puppies/dogs in there now are ones who've been rescued.
But after hearing- or reading lol- that I'll probably find a shelter to work at instead. ^^

sadly yeah, i got three guinea pigs from a pet store when i was 11 maybe?
i didn't knew better and they had a lot of behaviour and health issues, caring for them was just sad. 

I still don't think petstores should sell puppies at all?? like they don't have the time to care for them like a GOOD breeder/the mother of them would?? but that's just my opinion !

My dog also had a back problem before, but that all got fixed years ago.

But I'm pretty sure they treated the dogs well?? I can't be too sure, but it seemed like it.

I'll just have to check around for an animal shelter nearby ^u^
