I've been reading James Allen's work. "Circumstances do not make the man; they show him to himself." James believed that man's thoughts follow an unbending law. When it comes to the trials and tribulations of life, he believed we do not experience anything whatsoever unless it germinated from a seed within us, planted in the fertile soil of the unconscious by the thoughts we plant and harvest. His book is "As a Man Thinketh" and it's very deep. I know not everyone will believe what's within, we all take and leave what we will as our appetites direct us. However as an artist and writer, applying this idea- what he believes is an unerring law of the universe- if I judge my talent as a creative person, my skill in writing and artistic endeavors as inherently insufficient or without legitimate potential, I will thus experience situations and circumstances in my life which grow from this. I wonder if writer's block or the artistic version of same comes from our own insecurities with ourselves and our creativity? Those who are creative do tend to be sensitive about our work, especially as the work many times comes from a personal place inside of us. We can be our own worst enemies, tearing ourselves and our work into shreds unjustifiably in many cases. Might it be wise to instead view it as the garden analogy? Gardens must be tended. Fruit from trees, crops from the land, all these things must be carefully tended. Weeds must be removed, soil turned, pests removed and kept out, pruning, watering, harvesting... it goes on. The same with our art. We must tend our abilities, so that they do not wither but instead grow stronger. Pruning what does not work, and polishing and nurturing what does. If thoughts are the seeds, how important is it to see and believe in the perfection in our own creative natures while tending to the growth of our physical and mental skills?

Hey I noticed your art was featured on 's DeviantArt page, I just wanted to give you a few tips. First of all, you can report him here [link] I reported him but DA didn't seem to want to do anything about it & just told me to block him so I'm sure they'll do something about it if plenty of people actually report the situation. Second of all, blocking him is still a good idea. It will take your art off of his favorites section & he won't be able to contact you in any way on DeviantArt. You can block him in Profile Settings here [link] . Hope this helped & good luck!
