They've commented on my work too and I know that some people can get really upset about that kind of hate (not saying I think you will because a lot of people are really resilient about it too) but I just want to spread that what you create is beautiful and keep at it.

I know right? I personally have nothing against SpaBel, I think it's a rather lovely pairing and has been included in passing in my work, however it is people who try to shove pairings down people's throats that put nice pairings in bad light.

yea, i know the feeling. in a spamano fanfiction i'm writing, there are STRONG hints to spabel. it's a HUGE part of the storyline. likewise, a roleplay i have with my friend has romabel, and previous spabel, and she's the one who talks to both of them; neither of them hate her, and see her as a very valuable friend and ally. but yea it is people like that who put pairings into a bad light. like with the war between usuk and fruk. sure, i ship one more than the other, but let people ship what they want, in all honesty. they're countries for crying out loud

Precisely, I hint to a lot of past SpaBel in one of my biggest fanfics and she's still a respected character and there's no ill towards the past relationship. I had a close friend who didn't even like me mentioning FrUK around her but "okay whatever, you don't like it", and she didn't tell me that I couldn't like it myself. It's really such a stupid waste of time spreading hate because it accomplishes nothing. Honestly, how does anyone find the time?
