Well, thank you very much Yes, I'm mainly comics artist now. I have resigned from doing storyboards etc. for the advertising agencies few months ago. My books are published by Kultura Gniewu ([link] ), Polish publisher whose specialty is the ambitious comics, graphic novels (Crumb, Winschluss, Tomine and others) and Polish comics

I just do the colour work, all lineart (or most, there are a few bits in the 'all my own work' folder that are mine) is done by professional pencillers

I do the colour work for their Snake Eyes series at the moment, most of the interiors and covers. I got the gig by sending in samples of sequentials so they could have a look... thats pretty much the only way, getting your work seen by the guys that run the books. You'd need 3-5 solid comic pages, uninked if your a penciller. They need to show decent pacing and layouts and need to have a good feeling for movement and mood (I hear that 'static' pages are very common and do you no favours!) Keep the files small (usually 400kb is average), they hate having to download massive files.

I wouldn't be able to send your stuff in for you really, i've done it a couple of times for close friends, but I never really got a response so I tend to think they dont like me doing it!! I think they rather I sent them actual work haha

Just get hold of as many submission email addresses as possible mate and start sending stuff in

Alot of the time its done by people passing stuff on in the industry, so dont be afraid to ask if you end up getting to be good buddies with someone
