As much as I love H.P. Lovecraft's work, I can't recall ever managing to finish a story of his, because of colossal Hebbie-Jebbies!
I keep having to stick with Poe.

Lovecraft wrote a very insightful poem that is extremely hard to find; I've heard it once and am still looking. It makes me wonder if he was a woman somewhere deep inside or a plagiarist. Beyond that I lose interest in his novels just due to the sheer nonsensical weirdness and the hate in the context...
But tidbits are fun, especially when used in a Discordian fashion and completely out of Context.

Hmm... A friend of mine once tried to hunt down a short story that was fairly non-standard for the author (now I can't remember who), and had no end of difficulties. She finally found the book it she first saw it in and discovered that it had actually been misattributed.
Do you think that could be happening to you?
