i have had the best experience with that. if you do it the other way around, c-41 film has an orange film mask with is a pain

well,
First I get slide film. Each one acts differently and I choose which I want. Kodaks go super saturated, contrasty and grainy. Each Fuji film is different. Velvia really blows out the highlights and goes light green, Astia (my Fav) go red and magenta, Provia goes blue and green and a little darker. When you go to expose your film, i expose 1 1/3 stops under but some people call for more, you will find what you like best. Then take the film to a pro lab and tell them to cross process the film. you will then it really odd looking negatives. If you look at some of my work, you can see the different films and how they act.
