Hello killaby, I am very very interested in pencil shading, wanna try something which is so very real, could you please explain me how to do a realistic hair effect please????

well, that would take some time to explain but I always draw hair with a 2 or 3B mechanical pencil and then go over it with a 4B mechanical pencil and use an eraser to blend and also erase some of the hairs. I also draw around the lightest hairs. It takes lots of practice.

hey! your 'assasins creed' is very good, since you just spent 30 mins on that drawing! I think the key to better drawings is spending more time and do more contrasts! For the light effects on the hair I used small parts of an eraser like a pencil. I look forward to your upcoming drawings!

you don't bother me at all! I cut a normal eraser using scissors so these parts of the eraser had like a point so I could draw (or erase) a bright hair. I am so sorry for my bad english, I hope you get what I'm trying to say! I'm glad if I can help you!

you're welcome. I don't think that's necessary... I mean, it's simple, just cut off some pieces of your eraser and use them like a pencil. not that complicated.
