I've actually wanted to try something a little different, maybe bugs (such as butterflies) or flowers, along with fish of course. I figured it would let me get in to the technique but to also expand it a bit maybe. I was wondering what type of resin do you use? I want to make sure I use a kind that is consistent and gives good results. Thank you for being so open and nice about this, I didn't think i'd get any kind of response! I'll definitely share with you once I get started :) (Smile)

That is a GREAT idea! :D (Big Grin) I was going to try like a dragon or something, and I might still, I think beetles would look amazing! (buy acrylic paint, it's recommended) I use Easy cast resin, you can buy it at hobby lobby, possibly other art stores, www.bluewhalearts.com/wordpres… <-- it looks just like that, and it hardens clear! I have tried one other type of resin, but it dried with a yellow tint, :( (Sad) so I suggest the easy cast! It was $5-7 I think? and it's very simple to use. just equal amount's of both bottle, mix well until it does NOT look marbled, it takes 2-6 minutes of stirring, Stir slowly too. then poor your layers, it dries over night, breathe warm air on it to pop bubbles that form near the top! (sorry I kind of drifted off there) and no problem at all! I'm sorry I didn't answer sooner! I love helping people with there creative ideas! :D (Big Grin) Good luck! I can't wait to see! :) (Smile)

OH! And wear some plastic gloves! It's bad for skin, and put newspaper under your work area, I still have hard resin on my desk... Whoops!
