I just rediscovered Unico. For years I had bits of it that went through my mind and I wasn't sure what it was or if I was imagining it or something.... So I was happy to find out that I wasn't crazy and it was real
So I looked it up on DevArt and this one caught my eye.

Of course, my favorite work of Tezuka's is Black Jack. I highly, highly recommend checking it out.

What kind of looking would this take? Would I find Black Jack manga or dvd's or videos? Is it released in the US? How long of a series is it. What is it about?

Black Jack is the world's best surgeon, although he has no medical license. He does have a shady past, and the ability to attract very strange patients. The manga and the anime both document the wierd cases he encounters. There is no particular storyline to speak of. Just a lot of really crazy stuff and graphic surgery scenes!
I love Black Jack. It's one of my favorites. But I will admit that it's prolly not for everyone. It's good, but strange. And not FLCL strange, in case you were wondering. Black Jack is something you have to see or read for yourself.
The manga is rare nowadays. I bought my copies online. The anime is all over the place, though. It should be a lot easier to find it.
