My pleasure! Have you read it yet? I'm waiting until my next paycheck, then I'll probably review it on my blog.

Yes I have finally read it.
They got it spot on. I hated the main character she was very annoying, which I believe is the point

I finished Demonglass, Hex Hall book 2, it's not a bad book, but I only wish that Sophie isn't our narrator.XD

I just got notification that Hawkins has written a new book/series staring one of the Brannik girls coming out May 14th. I've got an ARC which I'll probably be reading this month (after I finish Spirit Bound), so it'll be interesting to see if it's the author or the character
Fifteen-year-old Izzy Brannick was trained to fight monsters. For centuries, her family has hunted magical creatures. But when Izzyβs older sister vanishes without a trace while on a job, Izzy's mom decides they need to take a break.
Izzy and her mom move to a new town, but they soon discover itβs not as normal as it appears. A series of hauntings has been plaguing the local high school, and Izzy is determined to prove her worth and investigate. But assuming the guise of an average teenager is easier said than done. For a tough girl who's always been on her own, itβs strange to suddenly make friends and maybe even have a crush.
Can Izzy trust her new friends to help find the secret behind the hauntings before more people get hurt?

thanks for the information! Good to hear she wrote another series, I'll read it when it's out in the library, I won't buy any of Hawkins' books after what I had read, not after I had read about her crappy remarks about people who gave her books negative reviews.

I read Hex Hall, I don't think the book is bad but it gives me no excitement. But anyway thanks for the recommendation and here I wrote down a few thoughts of my own:

Sorry you didn't enjoy it as much. I reread it a couple weeks ago in preparation to finally read the third and still found it fun. Well, off to book 2

it's not your fault the book isn't enjoyable. I have a feeling that the author has some great ideas going with her but those ideas don't work well in her book. I had already got the second book and hope I'll have better luck with it.
