Yeha that's so true! They made the color scheme that way after the main colors of ballpoint pens! At first my OC used to wear a blue t-shirt, but now she wears a dark, warm grey t-shirt over a white long sleeve. Flipnote Studio's format kind of made people sacrifice the actual design of most of their characters.

Really? I didn't knwo that. Either way, it was a bit of a downside. I have this character whose hair was green at the time Hatena was running, and I had to color it grey. :/ That always bugged me. xD Not to mention there wasn't much of a way to shade black hair without it getting muddy or just coloring all of it in. I could go on,
I guess a positive to it was that it forced people to get creative with bush combinations and the like, in order to portray a larger spectrum of color than there actually was.

Which even allowed people to invent a way to make a brown! XD I always thought that the color brown in the system was always a new color, probably was, but I just found it a weird color for some reason.

It was kind of weird, in a sense. The way you had to achieve it in Hatena (or at least, the way I use to get it) is entirely convoluted. xD
