I am reasonably well. I have a job now- taking over the creditu bureau work my mom did- a work-at-home job. I spend much of the rest of my time gaming and time has seemed to pass really really quickly lately. How are you, Bundle? I haven't done much deviantart for a while, but I see you're working with it some.

It's good to know you're doing ok, and I'm specially glad you have job!
I'm doing fine and trying to be a little more active here in DevArt. This book I'm reading says writers need to spend time doing things successful writers do, like joining book clubs and getting interested in other people's work. So that's what I'm trying to do.

Hmm. I think that the most important thing a writer needs to do is write. Well, it being the one thing all successful writers have in common.

I haven't been around deviantart much, of late. Truth be told... you are the one person I can't talk to anywhere else. And one person who, despite my long absences, I don't want to lose track of. Pretty much anyone else I know I can communicate with over facebook. I have moved away from writing- not permanently, but it seems so for now; the tradeoff being that I'm able to earn money and that I spend time on other things I enjoy like video games, card games, and anime. Bryan took off for Missouri for a few months so I have basically just Josh Archer and his fiance to hang out with, but I'm actually doing good these days. In a way, I'm spending time being interested in other people's work, too. My contributions are maybe more frivolous- like building things people can see in Minecraft.

This upcoming month, chances are very good my parents will be leaving for a few weeks to buy a house near Lake Tahoe. My mom has always loved it out there. So, I'll be watching over things here... it's a little intimidating to me, to be honest. But I know it will be good for me. Still, change is a frightening entity for a man comfortable in life. That's the direction I'm moving, though- taking my own progress one step at a time.

Do you still have the same e-mail you used to? When I was able to e-mail you? I think I may stop in here sometimes, but it occurs to me I would like to talk with you more than I do and it's on me if I want to try to do that.

Bundle... I was considering writing to you last night, but I was wiped and exhausted. My father had a heart attack two days ago- he's ok considering the circumstances, he was flown by helicopter to Des Moines and had two stints put in and he's currently in the hospital up there, but if he's lucky he may be able to come home tomorrow. I'm concerned, but very relieved it's not worse than it is. I'm doing things around here meantime helping my mom out- I'll get back to you to keep you updated, and I'll write in my journal sometime soon, but I need to go grocery shopping for now. *hug* Thank you for caring.

Yes, thankfully he is home now. He had two stints put in and may need two more somewhere sometime down the line, but for now he's doing pretty well. I'm handling extra chores, but I'm ok with that.

Now you have me curious, Bundle- the novel 'Rosie', what's it about? I'm curious what parallel it draws with my poem~ or more specifically how that particular poem is significant to that time... Those were interesting times- we could see a similarity in each other with what we were going through in the heart. There's this big difference between loving someone and having a crush on someone, do you agree? Loving someone is harder- it can be more rewarding, though, too. Because it's so much harder to separate from the person- a part of who you are has grown into a symbiosis with them. I haven't fallen honest to goodness in love sinse Lee and it sounds weird, but I miss actually feeling that deeply. I don't feel like I'm really going forward at all, though I'm trying- it's harder than it seems to find someone worth falling for. I just wonder if you ever feel a little nostalgic for such times, unpleasant bits included? It's hard to be a dreamer when it's hard to find anything worth dreaming about...

I'm trying to draw it all together into a statement of appreciation- I'm thankful that you somehow have things that remind you of me from time to time. I want to say that it is genuinely more than some of the gals I've loved have done for me in a way, in terms of sweetness. I should be the one thanking you, you've always been only kind to me and I hope that little things to show I appreciate it are only natural. But... you're welcome.


I don't think that having trouble letting go is a flaw... well, no, I ammend that. It is, but it's the right kind of flaw for a dreamer to have. Without it, people like us would be less than what we are, in a way.

Yes, I would very much enjoy hearing what you think of 'Reign Over Me'. That was quite some time ago we talked about my going to see it- you must have a great memory or have really gone through a lot of old notes. I still think... if you may, call me sometime. Also... Oh crap! I didn't mean to leave you hanging- I thought I had already responded to this comment. :S My Birthday was alright- nothing wowing, but I got to see Tron: Legacy in 3D with some friends a couple days later and that was, to quote the movie 'Raaadical, man!' XD Truly worth every cent!

I also watched the movie 'The Illusionist' the other day (right before 'The Prestige', which I felt was a little better though both were excellent). Thing is, I recognized the name Phillip Glass as the score writer! Huzzah! XD You have influenced me with an unexpected smile from that happening.

So Caroline, I have a couple more musical suggestions for you. Considering I know how much you enjoyed some of the metal songs I suggested way back, I'll recommend 'Gravitational Lensing' by Solution.45 and both 'The Smoke' and 'Towards and Against' by Amorphis. 'The Animal' by Disturbed, and a song called 'Hesitate' by Stone Sour. In exchange, I want to hear about how your life is going. Jump start me, and I'll get into a good conversation with you.

Hi Bundle! Thank you. Your way of checking in on me always makes me feel better even if I'm feeling good. It's just the thought that someone's thinking about me and cares enough to say so.

I've been really busy this week, though. Wednesday I went to hang out with my new friend Joe, and there was a bunch of anime swapped back and forth, and from there I met up with Bryan to play Magic at Spuds, and then watched Robin Hood after that (which was a better movie than I expected it to be). Got home late and crashed, but woke up relatively early Thursday and went over to Bryan's and from there rode with Bryan up to visit Alex in Iowa City- spent the day there and we were both exhausted on the way home- I ended up staying at Bryan's because I didn't want to risk driving back home that tired. After waking up about noon Friday, I spent a little time at Bryan's, then went and played Magic down at Spuds again, and Saturday again went to play Magic, down in Fairfield, which I discovered I adore as a town. It just has a vibrant -alive- feeling to it. Today is the first day I've actually been able to totally relax. But not everything has been good. Friday, my friend Bryan found out his house has been condemned. The floor was giving way, having completely separated from the middle wall... so, he's spending some time with another friend and his mom is looking for a place to rent. :S Keep them in your thoughts?

Just to let you know I'm going to be pretty much away from DevArt for a while. I'm not quitting or anything, but I recently got an eye ulcer and this thing is taking forever to heal....The laptop brightness is not good for my right eye now....

How's your friend Bryan doing? Has the house issue been solved?

Oh no! I hope that you heal up fast. Hopefully you're on some good antibiotics to help you out.

Poor Bryan... well, he was in the hospital for a while with an infection in his lower jaw- he spent about a week having it drained; luckily he's out of the hospital. As for the house- well; his family and him have separate rooms at a hotel in town, which is the solution for the next two months at least. Where things go from there; who knows? He's holding in there, though. I've been hanging out with him more of late.

You'll be in my thoughts too, Bundle.
