So... "Shamsiel" is angel. According Gustav Davidson, in his Dictionnay of Angels and Fallen Angels:
"Shams(h)iel ("Daylight", "powerful Sun God"): a leader of the fourth Prince of Heaven and Paradise; also guardian angel of Eden (within the meaning paradise).
It was Moses who led Shamshiel through the celestial paradise when the latter, according to legend, visited the upper regions (from above) while still in the flesh. It was also Shamshiel that the treasures of David and Solomon were given by the scribe Hilkiah.
In the Zohar, Shamshiel is the head of 365 spirits (angels). He crowns prayers, along with other large angels, and accompanied the 5th Heaven.
In the Book of Protection, Shamshiel is grouped with Michael, and Nuriel Sarphiel as mesmerizing power. In the Book of Jubilees, it is one of the Watchers or egregores, and it is equivalent to Samsapeel.
In 1-Enoch, it is classified as a fallen angel who "taught the signs of the sun".
According to the Zohar (Numbers 154b) it is one of two top aides to Uriel (the other being Hasdiel) when Uriel bears his standard in battle. "
I have chosen this pseudonym in connection with the name of my blog (here: [link] ). I find the name of Shamsiel very nice!
On "Grimoire" is also related to my blog because I write about magic, the books (and book of shadows) etc. ...
