It's ok. Let's just say I'm not as bothered with the topic as I was when it first came out. I've accepted one or two things about it, but overall am not going to let it change that I still look forward to more RWBY. Not sure if that jogs any memories, but if it does I hope you may feel the same. If not, I won't judge you at all.

I don't think anyone is leaving RWBY, I think now the fandom is aware that we have to voice out if we think something is wrong, because it MAY BE wrong. I love RWBY and I am concerned on its future, but I'm not leaving my teams on their own <3
I do believe in most part of the letter, but it doesn't mean because of it I hate RT, some of them were ass**oles, but we can't judge all just for some. I do believe RT is a great team with a Β great future, I just hope that money and fame doesn't go on their heads and they forgot what was they real purpose

I do believe that they have or will make some questionable decisions, but unfortunately at the end of the day a business must make a profit to stay afloat. The way I see businesses, they either only care about a customer's money, or they care about both their money and the customer themselves. The best ones in my opinion are the latter, a company that even in the midst of the whole thing I still consider Roosterteeth to be. While they will need to do what's profitable, I feel they at least care a lot about letting their fans down.
I'm glad to hear you're still willing to give them the time of day.

I wish it could be over already. Cops killed a jaquar because it tried to escape after it was posed with the olimpic fire (?), like HELL YOU TOOK THAT POOR ANIMAL OUT OF ITS NATURE AND WANT IT TO BE CALM? The cop didn't think twice to shoot the head
There was also a boto who was brought close to the flame (WHICH WAS EXTREMALY DANGEROUS TO THE POOR ANIMAL) because they gave food to him. HE WAS IN NATURE AND IF HE DID SOMETHING WEIRD HE WOULD BE SHOOT.
All the money expend on the olimpic stadiums could have been used to security and hospitals that are in HORRIBLE conditions, cops haven't been paid for months and the criminality had been REALLY HIGH
and now, months away, the mayor of Rio de Janeiro said he had no more money and is asking to the government to pay it or the rest of stadiums can't be ready (like, WHERE WAS THE BILLIONS ON THOSE STADIUMS FOR THEY NOT BE FINISHED?!)
If that wasn't enough, did saw pictures of a few public places that it will take place? Like "BaΓa de Guanabara" (I think that's the one) it's full of trash. And I mean FULL. OF. TRASH. There was bacterias there that shouldn't even been in the water! Aquatic life is in deep trouble just as swimmers!
Oh yeah, also the clinic where the exams to competitors should do to proove they were not cheating by using drugs or so, was not aproved, because the construction hadn't ended and was not aprooved to the olimpic comitee. So if any competitor has to take these exams, he has to go TO ANOTHER COUNTRY and then come back and bring them (again, WHERE ARE THE BILLIONS USED ON THAT THING?!)
Long story short. We're fucked up and the people coming are too.

I saw a segment on this show called "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" about doping scandals involving Olympic athletes. That's pretty sad too, but more of a "seriously?" kind of way than a "oh dear" kind of way.

I saw it... I just.. don't feel hyped anymore.
I'm trying to keep my faith in rWBY, but I saw the changes as a "Ok, forget everything you saw before, this is it now, this is all ours and we gonna do what we want"...
I know it sounds pretty awful, but RT had changed so much since I joined the fandom. And I also have personal things I really feel... disappointed on them.
Lully used to make fun videos of RWBY, I helped her a lot, and those videos helped her to get out of depression on a really awful time... Recently we received a e-mail of RT reclaiming visual rights, which was ok aslong the video was up until I took a further notice of the things.
They took out one video and the other will only show up on countries they choose, besides that all the videos gained ads and the money from that goes to... Them.Β
Like, I don't have money, she doesn't have money, when we needed anything we did anything we could to get the money and use on it. When we reacted the 500+ subs, we did thought it could be a good way to get money from it, we don't really need it but it would help. Since the work isn't ours, we declided it wasn't ok to do that because it was a fun thing we did and it was with others wokr and it just wasn't right from us to gain anything out of it... No winners no losers, right?
Wrong. Because now they gain over it. So it doesn't matter how much we sacrificed ourselves, how much time and money we spend on it, how many nights awake so many parties we didn't went to get them out, because we won't get a shit out of it, it all goes to Rooster teeth, that don't even need that money because it's really low (the channel is small). We felt like they looked at us and instead of thinking "oh, cool fan stuff" they thought "Oh, look, a way to get money without any work and not doing anything!"
We are really upset and down by it, because it was something we did for fun and joy, now it's stupid, we feel used, like, we gonna think on all this stuff and spend time on it to get NOTHING on it while the company gets money?
Well, no. We thought a lot and (since the 6th was almost done, we will post it as the last one) we gonna take them out. Because it's not right. No winner no losers, if they won, we're losing and sincerely? Both me and Lully had enough on being fooled on our lives and doing things by getting nothins.Β
So yeah, after this, I'm not doing anything on the FNDM. I'll try to watch, enjoy and support, but no more fan/fun stuff.

I understand. I know it's different, but as I understand it's due to both new software (Maya) and a timeskip (6-8 months from season 3). Also while I do believe they're trying to stay true to the original vision, I'm willing to believe some things will be moved around or removed for he sake of creating a good story that won't leave fans saying "that makes no sense" or "that doesn't add up, terrible writing". I'm not trying to disrespect anyone at all, just saying things change as things move on. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, but either way things change with moving on.
Ex: one part of the letter talked about Raven fighting JNPR. Not sure why that would happen and it'd make more sense if she attacked Ruby and JNR on their way to Mistral.

I do know that, but RT has having really weird changes since RWBY exploded world wide. I duno how to explain, I just have this feeling of uneasiness...
About the scene, he mentioned it would foreshadow something to happen in the future, but when he tried to explain to them, no one listened, so he just forget about it, because he was already being ignored on too many things and his personal life needed more attention in that moment. We might never know what would happen, but I do have a guess that it has something to do with Pyrrha being the "replacement" for the Maiden or something like that. We only have guesses since it won't happen and we don't know what Monty planned for it.
Say wahtever we want, but Monty was a genious on this kind of thing, he never did something just because. It always had a reason, foreshadowed something bigger (like in Vol 2 opening with the leafs on Pyrrha and everyone thought it was something with her past, when was actually a reference to her future). Shane got mad because he and Sheena were the closest to him, it was only logical to keep them close to know where to lead and how to fill the spaces to adapt the show, but they made the opposite.
My friend said a true thing about this whole situation with Lully. "If Monty was here, he would NEVER let that happen". Which is true. He got to be where he was by doing just fan stuff, fanimation and all. He supported the fan's work independent of anything. That's one of the reasons we loved him. So when this happened we were both dissapointed on RT. Wasn't that a producer that supposed to be close to the fans, support any kind of fun entertainment and all? What the heck happened to do that?
As the clothing, I do hope it's just a change of age and stuff (they all went to heaven and hell in a short time), but since I had known and saw what happened to RT from close, I do can tell that the company changed a lot from when I got in the FNDM (in the releasing of Vol 1) to right now. And it's just not the same... You know when you meet someone and something happens to this person and she changes so much that you don't recognize them anymore? that's how me, Lully and Tami (this other friend of mine) feels about RT

Qrow, relax. REally. You didn't know. Actually not even her subscribers knows yet. the few on Tumblr knows because she had put in there. It's ok. I'm not judging you or anything. I'm actually trying to enjoy news from RWBY, but after the new events, more I feel liek the letter is most actually true (even if I didn't like so) and things are getting worse (Like, the new clothes and style... I saw that as trying to erase whatever connections that it had to the people who originated RWBY, it's a pretty bad vision, but after all it's kind how I felt - I'm trying to be bright on the new volume, but... it's complicated). Lullaby gave up on making comics/fanart to RWBY because she's afraid they claim rights over her art and use for their purposes (whatever they are).
Which, I have to admit, I'm scared of that too :/

Well, thank you for understanding my thoughts on the matter. I understand your thoughts on the matter and respect them as well. 
I saw a video on how Rio is and in particular there's this wall between the ride from the airport to the place where all the tourists go. Part of the wall is solid and blocks the view of the run down/ poverty stricken area, but as it gets closer to the area tourists are familiar with the wall becomes clear and shows a view they're more comfortable with. Can you shed your knowledge of this and any more thoughts you have on the matter?
P.S. I genuinely hope the best for Lully. If it helps her, you can let her know someone from another country cares about her well being too.

And about the wall, yes it exists. The Government tries to show that Rio is the perfect wonderfull city, but ignores all of it's problems. They try to show as this country is a paradise, and it could be, but they are too busy stealing money and covering any uglyness that may go to outside.
Like for example, remember the mud river that happened because of a company that didn't took enough cautions and maintenance of their dams and it broke? Guess who is unpunished and ignored the victims of the tragedy?
And also, guess who's partially blamed since they own part of the company? That's right, the government.
When we changed President (which, I want to slap a lot of people who supported that because we're even more - sorry for the word- Fucked than we were before) it got worse, because most of those trial were canceled, abandoned, stop or had to go all over again from the 0.
So... WEll, I'm trying to be happy anyway.

It is truly unfortunate how your country is being run, or rather how it is not being run at all in some cases.
Don't be afraid to swear, you won't offend me and you're entitled to speak as you wish with what you have to put up with there.

SAdly, every candidate that WOULD make it better lost the election over and over again. Population disagrees, the most popular ones dirty their images, they make everyone think their programs will turn it bad and so on. Like, we had a candidate to president who wanted to reform a program that was created fo poor family because there are a lot of people who are into it and don't need (like, the program is to misery people and there are a big group that doesn't need the program anymore but still receiving the help), so the rumor that it would turn it bad for those who need and stood in the program went viral, they got scared and she lost votes. We know the rumor was from the bigger candidates because there was no way she could lost so many votes so quickly a few nights before the last debate of candidates.
She's fine. We met a friend this weekend and he resumed as "You're like TLoK fandom. They love The Legend of Korra, but they hate nickelodeon" And well, that's how she feels. Right now she realizes she feels more betrayed than angry at it. I think the part that hurt her the most was not even for her, but for the viewers that liked her videos and won't be able to watch them anymore or to see what could come up next... But she's getting better. The FNDM embraced her kindly after that, and she focused on her fanfictions. Like Star vs The Forces of Evil fandom is getting crazy over her lol
