I know this is random, but this past weekend was the popcorn fest in Marion C:

Thanks, though looking at you're gallery you probably have a more rounded approach to things than I do. I've slowly gotten better the last couple years. Obviously you've seen from my display (did you just see my entry at City Hall or did you see my display at the barbershop next door) I don't work with color very often.

No Prob, I saw it at City Hall. I use to enter the contest, but I stopped for the last few years to get better.

It was the first time I ever entered but I don't expect anything from it cause these people judge "art" and my more complete drawings are more akin to illustration

I didn't want to put a price on it cause I usually try to get prints of my drawings first and I literally had just finished the drawing a week or two before the event so I hadn't gotten a good quality shot of it yet (cause the corners of the paper were curling from my using water on the paper cause I used water soluable graphite) so no prints have been made.

Having looked through your gallery I find it impressive how you don't mind tackling the busy technical images, there's a lot going on in some of the scenes. I think over time with practice and constant refinement you'll achieve some good things. Try taking a long time over an image, do small bits over time and this gives you time and perspective to alter and look at your drawing with a critical mind.

Yeah I have a bad habit of having to get the pic done "right now" all the time. I don't generally do a drawing and go back to it later and usually when I do it's only because I only had alittle left to do til it's "finished".
