Things are rather hectic. I'm heading into Rochester next week to visit a friend in Western New York, and after that I'm off to Milwaukee to study under Father Reggie Foster for two months. Intensive Latin, only dictionary and grammar allowed as translation aids. Intense, but worth it, I'm told.

I'm quite excited, though not entirely because of class. Y'see, I managed to snag a Maisonette with a friend, and a few big expenditures later, I am incredibly excited to have a kitchen to call my own again!
I'm hoping to start regularly blogging recipes again, and even if class isn't the main reason I'm excited, it's certainly a big one. What are you going to be taking this coming semester?

I'm doing CLA389 (Junior/Senior Seminar), Vergil and Aristophanes (no idea on the course numbers), EDU411 (Finance Issues in K-12 Education, fuck yeah), HIS288 (The Samurai - I may be wrong on that number) and an independent study for the same reasons; my thesis looks to be focused on justifications of regicide.

Yes, that's definitely how I started cooking - I've found it's rather impossible to motivate oneself to learn or to cook on a regular basis without the presence of a kitchen in one's own home and a reasonable distance to the nearest place where they make shit for you.
It helps that my latest ex was a good cook herself, so she taught me a few tricks, and I'm continuing to learn on my own now as I get back in the cooking game.
