Hey I'm probably gonna sound like a idiot, but since your like AMAZING at art I need to ask you something. Do you have any tips or tricks on how to draw armor? I need to draw armor for a project im working on. Everybody says using references but I cant find references for a particular type of armor (animal armor Just so you know), so do you have any tip, oh dear amazing art guru

Thanks a lot! Reference is important to always keep in mind and highly recommend looking for it (The golden compass had polar bears in armor, and I also saw some cat armor going around on tumblr) but most of the time I focus more on studying the shapes and drawing the armor from that.

Try to thing of each armor piece as a layer, so you start with what should be underneath everything, adding pieces, keeping in mind joints and swivel points. Be mindful of the piece underneath of each new one, and how they would interact.

I find that you get more creative freedom this way, and get something more varied than "medieval armor" reference is important to know the mechanics, but you can design some fun stuff by your own!

Hace mucho no me pasaba por deviantart, hasta que me acordé de tus dibujos viendo uno por ahí.
