I am silly to have somehow missed this. Thank you very much. I found it funny when you said that you have been drawing longer than I have been alive xD. Well, even at such age one can learn tremendously. OH! Also you have grown to 1000 watchers in like 2 months, and I have been on deviantart for 4 times as long as you and I don't even have 100 watchers, xD, I guess it's age supremacy xD
I feel like I am entering art slightly late myself. But at least I have critical thinking now (which is needed to learn from drawing), and when I was 13 I didn't care about improving at all. Age does not matter then.
It is artistic of you to thank through artistic form.

haha Well, I'm 32 (33 this November) and a lot of people on here are 12-18. I've been drawing and crafting since I could remember, so that's at least 1988/1989 XD
I have an old account here on dA (LaughingSquid ) and that one wasn't near as successful as this one has been. I feel like I've learned a lot about promoting/marketing throughout the years and have used these skills on this account. If you want advice, I highly suggest joining tons of groups and submitting your art to every applicableΒ group you can, comment in addition to faving others' art, send tons of llamas, and buy advertising/promotion space on accounts like dAhub . That's really all there is to it XD
It doesn't matter when you start creating, the point is that you're creating <3
And age definitely doesn't matter when it comes to improving. I'm still improving my art at 32 and can't wait to see what I can draw in the future :D
Once I got a Core membership, I knew I had to make my own sprites thanking people for watches and favs. I used to do text only, but that wasn't as fun as getting a sprite and a speech bubble :3
It's also a way of promoting myself. Other people who go to those pages where I post my thanks, they see a snippet of my art and click on me if they like what they see. It's a win-win <3

The Battleship and Mazda.

Ah yes, I remember, that legendary rotary 787 (if I am correct); the battleship is very great for a pencil based work, extremely realistic and excellent shading work from what I remember.

Thank you. Yes, the Mazda won 24hrs of LeMans. Amazing feat for sure.
The battleship was something I wanted to draw for a long time. My dad was a WWII Navy veteran and that ship was depicted on his honorable discharge certificate.

I was thinking of doing drawings of your planes eventually: I have a very cartoony style relative to most people who draw planes; I like to have simple but epic proportions.
In this image, you can see sort of how I like to work with proportions. Of course, the work isn't too great because it's too roughly done, but for something in sta.sh it is good.Β
