Generally you want to make sure you recoup your cost. It's hard to be fair to yourself when you take a long time to make stuff and can't charge anywhere near a fair hourly rate, so try and strike a balance? I still struggle.

Scarves should be between 15-45$ depending on the length, cost of yarn, and complexity; use your best judgment. I've never sold coasters, but probably 5-10$ depending on the same factors. A solid color cotton coaster wouldn't be expensive, but something with a motif might be more complex.

Also keep in mind who is buying: friends and family will usually be happy to chip in a tip or a little more to support you, and while I have had most of my online buyers do the same, it's not a given.

Alright thanks, that does help ^.^ next time someone offers to buy something off me I'll charge a bit more. Like you said, it's hard to fully charge people hourly rates for the labour part of it, even if it takes quite a while. Just that I am well, kind of a beginner like I said, so I was unsure. But I'm not bad at it. I picked it up pretty quickly and my mom is like "I want this and this and this" for Christmas gifts for people, and I had a friend buy something already lol. Btw I saw your Zelda sweater and Mario pillow, those are both pretty cool. I have quite a while to go before I build up to making something like that lol. I saw that you knitted the sweater, and I don't knit but there are cool crochet shirts/sweaters as well. Of course, a large project like that you'd probably charge quite a bit for.

I would personally never do adult clothes because even at an advanced speed it takes -months-. But keep up with your crocheting, and post to knitting-and-crochet; great supportive community!
