To be honest I thought I already had you on watch. Then the other day I was just looking around and I realized I hadn't. This happens to me so frequently it's not even funny.

I am a Wikipedian under a different name. I haven't very active as of late, but I did serve as an admin there for some time. Glad to meet a fellow Wikipedian!

Hope you have a wonderful birthday. You're a significant influence for me, because without you introducing me to Sonnets, I would never have wound up even taking the form seriously... now, I'm unable to let them go because I have become almost as comfortable with the form as Villanelles, Trijan Refrains, and Rubai. And on that note, I believe that your sonnets have also inspired me significantly because they've shown how much you're at home with the form, and are exploring yourself from your reading and from understanding yourself.
Especially yourself. You're quite an enigma if I do point that out myself: Its so fascinating to see how you've become the writer you are now, and how you keep on becoming the writer to be. Especially where your sonnets' themes are concerned, and your perspectives from the works you read (be it the Bible, or be it Shakespeare).
Which also reminds me of two other things: The Bible and Shakespeare. I can say, with a significant amount of pride, that I have had the privilege of exercising diligence when reading both. Especially Shakespeare, whose plays do inspire me often (particular favourites of mine are "The Merchant of Venice" and "Julius Ceasar"). Nevertheless, I give his sonnets credit only because of their form - it is truly the easiest and the least effort requiring sonnet type I have had the pleasure of writing in, and believe me, I have written a significant share of them (about 50 by my reckoning, although it is a paltry number which pales compared to the number which you have written.)
Nevertheless, thank you for constantly giving me food for thought, be it your sonnets, or be it your journal entries, or even when we have our conversations on an everfluctuating list of themes. Its deeply satisfying. Stay strong, mate. And keep fighting the good fight!
Note: If I have been a dumb ass towards you at any point in time, I do apologize for that. I tend to be that way with people from time to time, and its a pain in the ass to deal with - I know, I have to deal with such behavior and I am fully aware of how annoying it can be. Hope it didn't deter our interactions on poetic subjects though Cheers.

It is rare, yes, but it's something which is common among friends and those who appreciate good writing. Particularly good writing.

Thank you for your excellent art! Not easy to draw for a fandom that has been dormant for such a long time...hopefully the G:KND stuff will kickstart the fandom.

Uh...not really sure I would characterize my art as cute, but okay. Which piece led you to make that assessment?

Nobody talks about the importance of prosody anymore...it's a dying term that desperately needs revival.

SinistrosePhosphate In reply to Parsat [2015-06-19 04:10:04 +0000 UTC]
It most certainly is!Β
And it's quite unfortunate that this specific aspect of poetry and language is becoming a lost art. I am glad that someone out there is still interested in prosody, however. So thank you very much once again!Β
